Section 7.5. Section 7.5.Surely, these roles should be separated from the Government. Should not the Law Officers be appointed by Parliament on the recommendation of the Judiciary?
Section 7.5. Section 7.5 I agree with Bannachie. Also, will it be possible for the Parliament to appoint nominated ministers who are not MPs? This would help with the separation of powers.
Section 7.5. Too much power under the control of one person can be abused. Suggest the following proposal be considered. Section 7.5 Cabinet Secretaries should be nominated and appointed by Parliament to proportionally represent the political balance of the overall Parliament. Law officers should be selected by Parliament on the recommendation of the Judiciary. The above appointments to be made by an open ballot and a simple majority vote.
Section 7.5. Section 7.5. I agree with Admin/CfS7. A proportionally representative cabinet could provide a wider range of experience, capability and objectivity. In turn, that could potentially stimulate more innovative management of public services and a more imaginative use of all public assets.
